Emergency Response to Lithium-Ion Battery Incidents
With the increasing prevalence of portable electronic devices and electric vehicles, incidents involving lithium-ion batteries have become more common. These batteries, while highly efficient, can pose significant risks if mishandled or involved in accidents. To prepare first responders for such incidents, we have developed the “Emergency Response to Lithium-Ion Battery Incidents – Awareness Level” course. This course imparts valuable insights into the characteristics of lithium-ion batteries, potential hazards associated with their use, and the appropriate safety measures to adopt during emergencies. By enhancing awareness and understanding, first responders can respond to these incidents safely and efficiently, minimizing risks to themselves and the public.
